Narharpur, Chhattisgarh – Demonstrating a strong commitment to the empowerment and inclusion of differently-abled individuals, the Department of Social Welfare has distributed essential mobility aids to three beneficiaries in the Narharpur region.

Bihari Patel, a resident of Bhairadih village in the Narharpur block, who is physically challenged and unable to walk, was provided with a battery-operated tricycle. This will now allow him to move independently and carry out his daily activities with ease.

Additionally, Anjori Yadav, from the village of Dhanelikanhar, received a manual wheelchair, while her brother Surit Yadav, who also lives with a physical disability, was presented with a Cerebral Palsy (CP) chair by the department.

The Deputy Director of the Social Welfare Department shared that the assistive devices were provided promptly upon receiving the request from the applicants. The distribution aims to improve the quality of life for differently-abled citizens and support their integration into society.

Expressing his gratitude, Bihari Patel said, “I am extremely thankful to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the district administration. I was unable to walk, but with the help of this battery-operated tricycle, I will no longer face difficulties in traveling or performing my daily tasks.”

This gesture not only brings relief to the recipients but also reflects the government’s proactive approach toward building an inclusive and compassionate society.
