A tragic road accident took place early Saturday morning in the Tokapal police station area, leading to the unfortunate death of a 60-year-old woman. Around 6 AM, a bus traveling from Jagdalpur to Bailadila, operated by Royal Travels, accidentally ran over the woman, causing her instant death as the vehicle’s rear wheel crushed her.
Upon receiving the information, local police swiftly reached the scene. The woman's body was sent to Mekaj Hospital for post-mortem, while the bus was seized and taken to the Tokapal police station for further investigation.
According to Tokapal police officials, the deceased was identified as Chamarin Baghel, a resident of Tokapal. She had left her home early in the morning for some personal work when the accident occurred. Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the incident.
