In a tragic incident from Raipur district, Chhattisgarh, two young men drowned while bathing in the Kathadih Sat Pakhar Dam. The victims have been identified as Arjun Yadav (18), a resident of New Raipur, and Bhupesh Bhude, a resident of Labhandi Jora.

According to reports, the two youths had gone to the dam with a group of friends on Sunday. While swimming, they lost their balance and were swept away by the water currents, leading to the unfortunate incident.

Upon receiving information about the drowning, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team quickly reached the spot and initiated a search operation. However, the search was halted due to darkness and safety concerns.

The rescue operation resumed early this morning. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Mujgahan police station. Authorities stated that the search is being conducted with utmost caution and expressed hope that the youths will be located soon.

Local authorities have urged residents to exercise caution while visiting water bodies, especially during the monsoon season, to avoid such tragic accidents.
