Raipur, Mahaveer Nagar: A shocking case of alleged fraud and deceit has surfaced in Mahaveer Nagar, Raipur, where Ajit Kumar Upadhyay, a pharmacy holder, has lodged a formal written complaint at the Superintendent of Police (SP) office.
According to the complaint, Ajit Kumar accuses Ved Prakash Verma of duping him of ₹4 lakh under the pretext of securing admission for his brother and ensuring that he passes his exams. Ajit claims that Ved Prakash took ₹1 lakh in cash initially and later demanded another ₹3 lakh, which was also handed over in cash. Despite the hefty payment, neither the promised admission was facilitated nor were the exams cleared for Ajit’s brother.
When Ajit Kumar confronted Ved Prakash and demanded the return of the money, Ved allegedly refused outright. Furthermore, Ajit claims that Ved began blackmailing him, threatening to initiate legal action against him on the grounds of "false allegations and statements."
The incident has left Ajit Kumar and his family distressed and seeking justice. Ajit asserts that he has all the necessary proof of payment and is now urging the authorities to take strict action against Ved Prakash Verma.
